Community Relations

The Moonlight Quilters of Sonoma County reach out and support our community in many ways:

Community Quilts

Each year the Moonlight Quilters of Sonoma County make approximately 120 adult and baby size quilts to donate to a variety of organizations that support at-risk populations in Sonoma County.  Fabrics are donated by members and merchants, the loving stitches are completed by members and friends.

The community service quilts are turned in throughout the year as they are completed. The quilts are donated during a “Fashion Show” at the August guild meeting.  We often hear heart-stirring comments from the two organizations receiving the quilts in August.

Quilts for Cats and Dogs Awaiting Adoption

We create small quilts for cats and dogs, through the Cat and Dog Cuddles Program.

Dear Donna, Marilyn and all our friends at the Moonlight Quilters,

On behalf of all of us at YWCA Sonoma County, thank you sincerely for your incredibly generous gift of the handmade quilts.  We feel so blessed to share your lovingly made quilts with the families in our care.

Gratefully yours,

Madeleine O'Connell
