Each year, our Vice President develops the annual Challenge Quilt theme with Board approval. The theme, guidelines, parameters, and any provided supplies are announced at the beginning of the year, with completed quilts presented at the June business meeting. This optional activity is open to all members who wish to participate.

2026 VP Challenge

The 2026 Vice President’s Challenge is an exercise in interpretation. Your task it to create a wall hanging, table runner, or even a full size quilt that represents your favorite musical or movie.

​

Say you love the musical “Cats” - the cat and dog cuddle team will fight you for your inspiration. If Music Man was your jam, dive into musically themed fabrics. Imagine what you could do with “The Princess Bride.”

Also, each quilt should include a moon to represent the Moonlight Quilters of Sonoma County.  The moon can be on the front, back or even the label.  Blocks are due at the June business meeting.
