Each year, our Vice President develops the annual Challenge Quilt theme with Board approval. The theme, guidelines, parameters, and any provided supplies are announced at the beginning of the year, with completed quilts presented at the August business meeting. This optional activity is open to all members who wish to participate.
 

2025 Challenges

2025 VP Challenge Rules

• Form teams of 2-3 people (include a new member if possible)

• Collect your bag of scraps and Fat Eighth from us

• EighthCreate any block design using scraps + a recognizable amount of your Fat

• Size your block at either 12½" x 12½" or 18½" x 18½"

• Use any technique: traditional piecing, appliqué, paper piecing, etc.

• Submit blocks by June Business Meeting or earlier

• Add your own scraps if desired - keep everything, return nothing

• Result: We'll transform completed blocks into community quilts.

UFO Challenge
We challenge you to take a panel from your stash and turn it into a community quilt.

Finished quilts are due at the August Business Meeting.
