A QUILT FOR JIM (Wyllie of Parkside Sewing Center)

In an effort to thank Jim for all that he has done for our community, we are putting together a get well / thank you quilt for him.

Below is a sketch of the pattern we are using along with a suggested color pallet of plaids. Muted, soothing plaids and stripes, please.  No brights!

Kits are available from Deb Gomes.  Please use a kit to keep the background fabric consistent  ---  do not use your own fabric.

ALL SPOOL, STAR, AND HEART BLOCKS ARE 6" FINISHED, which means they come out to 6 1/2" before sewing them all together.

Spool Blocks

Go to YouTube.com/Shabby Fabrics  >  How to Make a Spool Quilt Block and follow directions for a 6" block or go HERE and follow directions to make single 6" blocks (do not sew spool blocks together)

BLOCKS ARE DUE on or before MARCH 18TH.  Please turn them in to Deb Gomes at the meeting, or to the "drop box" at Village.

If you would like to help sew this together, please let Deb know.  Lynda McLean has generously offered to quilt the quilt for us.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could present this quilt to Jim at the Show?
