VP’s Challenge

Each year, the current Vice President of the Moonlight Quilters of Sonoma County announces a special “challenge”. The challenge is to make a quilt with the features or theme set forth by the Vice President. The challenge ‘rules’ are different each year.

For 2011, the challenge was to bring the “Brilliance of Luther Burbank” to a quilt. One example:
Joanne Thomas combined the skills learned from expert quilter, Ricky Tims’ “Convergences” class with the 2011 VP Challenge “Brilliance of Burbank”
to make a beautiful and unique creation.
