The Moonlight Quilters of Sonoma County has “Program Meetings” once a month, alternating with the Business Meetings. (But don’t let the name ‘business’ fool you, we have fun at those meetings too!)
Program Meetings provide a special presentation by an invited speaker. Our speakers are nationally and internationally known quilters, so we plan the schedule years in advance.

Jan Krentz is a nationally recognized quilt instructor, author and designer. Winner of the 1998 Teacher of the Year award, Jan’s motivating workshops are packed with practical tips, techniques and methods to insure success. Author of Lone Star Quilts & Beyond, Hunter Star Quilts & Beyond,Diamond Quilts and Beyond, Quick Star Quilts & Beyond, and Quick Diamond Quilts. Jan lives with her husband in Poway, California.

Historic look at the traditional 8-point star designs, ranging from Lone Stars, Hunter Stars, and the new Diamond Quilts. Combination slide presentation with trunk show of beautiful quilts!
February 18, Workshop – Stone Mosaic Dimensional Diamonds
Create a geometric design with depth and dimension. The quilt is pictured on the cover of Jan’s book Quick Diamond Quilts and Beyond. The construction method is surprisingly straightforward, and fabric selection is the key to creating dimensinal effects. There are two methods of construction for this quilt. You will learn about both methods in class; primary instruction will focus on the easier Faux Diamond technique.
